All preschool programs (half day or full day) have small groups of 7 to 9 children with two teachers.  Our program is inspired by children’s natural curiosity and inclination to learn through play and hands-on experiences that encourage social-emotional development while strengthening language, physical and cognitive growth. Creative arts, music and movement, math, health, and science are additional areas of discovery offered.  We believe children should be offered developmentally appropriate activities in a content-rich environment geared to meet the individual needs of each child and to help develop skills at their own pace.  Children learn from interactions with each other as well as from adult role models.  We strive to work together with the family to cultivate children’s full potential and provide them with the opportunities to become lifelong learners.

Assessments and observations of each child are on-going to help teachers develop individualized goals and objectives.  Teachers and parents review their child’s progress three times a year and update goals as needed.

Grades 1 through 3

Our kindergarten and after-school programs are set up to offer a variety of activities to the children after attending public school.  Time for playground or group games, reading, relaxing, arts and crafts, homework, and “free choice” is offered after snack.  Full day childcare is offered to these children during teacher workshop days, school vacation weeks, and summer when public school is not in session.

During school vacation weeks and summer, the children participate in a day full of activities.  The areas of learning include: math, science, pre-reading/reading, writing, creative expression with time also spent on music and movement and gross motor activities. Our Summer Program offers various topics with fun activities, ex: field trips, water play, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, and special themed weeks and days.
